Biography

Simon Thompson is currently a final year PhD candidate at the University Limerick ‘A Practice-Based Exploration of Mask/Clown and the Development of a New Pedagogy’. Other roles include:

  • Artistic Director, Clown Noir 2009 ongoing
  • Board Member Spleodar Halloween Arts Festival 2018,19, 20, 21
  • Panellist for the Arts Council of Ireland (Circus and Street Arts) 2018 ongoing
  • Founder and Chair of Limerick Fringe Festival 2017,18,19
  • Producer of The Autonomy Project 2018
  • Board Member Irish Street Arts and Circus Spectacle Network 2014-15
